Dustin travels the world abroad and had me make some controllers for him and his freinds back home as a holiday gift. He maintains a "technology for travelers" website in which he wrote up an interesting article referencing my controllers: toomanyadapters.com |

I have to start off by saying that Paul is great when it comes to
customer service. Before I even ordered, I had emailed him to ask a few
questions, and he had gotten back to me within 24 hours. Then after I
ordered, let me know what to expect next.
I just received my N64 USB controller today, with the upgraded joystick
pre-installed. The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the
package: it looks and feels brand new. The buttons are solid, but not
stiff, and don\'t stick. The joystick is a huge improvement over the
original stick joystick, just in the way it feels.
Next was the setup. I plugged it into my Windows 7 PC and it
automatically recognized the controller and installed the drivers. Also
included in the package was a sheet with detailed instructions on how to
properly calibrate and test the controller. In less than 5 minutes, I
was into a new game of Ocarina of Time. It feels fantastic to play it
again as it was meant to (along with some graphical upgrades).
I am not a huge fan of the price of these controllers, but you
definitely get what you pay for. Quality service, and quality products
that work perfectly. I would definitely recommend these over the
adapters that you find online, or the 3rd party USB controllers.

Awesome product! I can now play SNES games on my MacBook Pro! The setup is so simple. Sure wish I bought this product before wasting my money on inferior USB controllers and junky adaptors.

Just received a SNES and a SEGA turbo controller.....Awesome!!! The only thing I can say bad about them is it's really hard to put them down and do anything else...HA HA. Thanks again for another fantastic product

I had just gotten one of your controllers as a gift a few days ago and have been meaning to post a testimonial/review/whatever, but I've been too busy playing N64 like I was 10 years old again nonstop. The quality of this controller would make you think they were sold by Nintendo. The joystick is super snappy and has NO play to it at all, the data transfers to the 4GB of internal memory are very quick, and setting it up was a breeze. It was by far the coolest gift I\'ve ever gotten and probably enjoy playing these games more now in my 20's than I did as a kid. Paul makes a great product and I'd absolutely recommend one of his controllers to anyone looking to play old video games the way they were meant to be played.

Amazing controllers! From the outside to the inside(yes, I looked) the quality of work is top notch. The donor controllers are clearly handpicked for quality in performance and appearance. Great care was taken during packaging and shipping as well.
If you are looking for a way to play the Wii's Virtual Console library as you remember it then look no further. You can go cheap and get an adapter that doesn't have exact button mapping or you can pay for quality work and get as close as perfect as possible.

Great Product Man!
I received my controllers from you a couple of days ago and I gotta say these are by far the best USB controllers I have ever used. After giving them a thorough workout I have to say, I'm amazed at how great they respond, and well they work out. I also most say your improved thumb trigger on the N64 controller is phenomenal. I can't believe the sheer awesomeness of these controllers. In addtion to the N64 controller, I must say the Genesis and SNES controllers I purchased are well worth the money as well. The quality that you put into your controllers is spectacular I will definitely be purchasing from your site again sir!
Thanks,
-Matt

Alex took a clip of his controller you can see on my videos page, here is what he had to say after getting his custom purchase:
Paul,
Received the controller this morning. Only one problem. It's in a 100 broken pieces.
Only kidding.
You probably get this all the time but you are quite frankly, a technical genius. The controller is a freakin' work of art and you've absolutely outdone yourself. Thank you so much, I am finally able to play these games the way they should be played!
Cheers dude.

As a first time customer of yours, I have to say I was a tad skeptical at first about purchasing a USB converted NES controller that would perform just as I remembered it when I was younger. There are several companies out there that seem to produce similar controllers, but after reading some reviews on them I was disappointed that they had all faired poorly. I came across your ebay listing shortly after, and from your feedback everything seemed pretty good. Long story short, after my purchase, I was not disappointed in the least. The controller you sent me works perfectly. Fast shipping, available support, quality product, no problems. Exactly what I was looking for.It is safe to say that I will be a loyal customer for the long run, and I will most definately be making future purchases (Deciding between an SNES controller or an N64 controller.. hard choice!).
Thanks again,
Evan

Received the package from you yesterday...
Fantastic work! I was able to pick up the Japan Club Nintendo Super Famicom Wii Classic Controller, and although it's nice, your SNES Wii controller is far superior. The buttons and d-pad are responsive and have just the right blend of "clicky" and "soft", just as I remember on my SNES console. Makes sense, because it IS an SNES controller, not just a facsimile of one. Goes to show, playing retro console games with the actual retro controller is the only way to get a "true" experience. I'm using it with my Wii, and even more exciting, with my iPad. Works great!
You rock,
Matt
P.S. I'm Playing Link to The Past right now, and falling in love with these games again.

"I must say that the SNES controllers are EXACTLY like I had hoped them to be; SO pleased with your work on these two babies. This is the kind of nostalgia that rocks!!!
I am also very happy with the NES controller.
Overall I am VERY pleased with the service you have provided. Great job! Great packaging! I love my controllers!
I will definitely return to order more products in the future and will make sure to recommend you to all of my friends who are also into retro-gaming."

"I received the controllers a few days ago and I LOVE THEM!! They were in great condition and the buttons and d-pad were responsive and accurate. In short, they worked perfectly. I plugged them right in and my friends and I played our favorite retro games for hours. It brought back memories of playing games 15 and 20 years ago. This is how retro games should be played, not with a keyboard and not with third party controllers. The original SNES controllers are still the best.
Also thanks for your outstanding customer service. You really went above and beyond to resolve the shipping issues (which were no fault of your own) and get these controllers all the way out here to Afghanistan.
Thanks a million."

I actually asked one of my customers why he thought my product would be worth the money and here was his responses.
Here's what he said after he made the purchase:
Well,
I have to admit that I thought the price was pretty steep
compared to your other controllers (the NES one, the Sega one,
etc). I actually have 3 other USB controllers that a bought a
couple years ago). I have the NES, SNES and Sega ones -- all so I
can play emulators on my MacBook Pro. Since I am a Mac guy, I
am pretty OCD. lol! I like my stuff clean and new looking.... so I
was happy to see how OCD you are! That's why I went with
yours, even though, yes, there is a cheaper alternative (But who
wants the messy looking adapter plus controller?). $70 is pretty
expensive in this economy (I'm between jobs, too!), BUT I think
its worth it if that's what I need to pay to get a USB controller
that's like new and as if made by Nintendo. Not to mention, you
are the only one so far that I have found who makes a USB N64
controller (especially so nicely done).
Thanks,
Elliot
This was a follow message he sent me:
Hey Paul!
Just got the controller today -- its awesome! Works great
and looks great... nice job. Definitely worth the money. Its so great
to be able to play all of my old N64 favorites again! Thanks so
much.
